PIERRE PASCUAL
is watching you!
PIERRE PASCUAL
I was born in Bordeaux, in the south of France, at the end of the last century.
As a child I participated in my grandfather's Super-8 filming. My place was in front of the camera, but I loved spying on him when he was editing his films.
At the age of 8, I began to write short stories. At the age of 13, I recorded my first songs then decided to film by myself, alone with a VHS camera.
After studying Dramatic Art and Cinema, I began to move towards a musical journey as a singer, songwriter and performer, the occasion to direct and edit some of my music videos.
Alongside the production of albums, I started a sono-plastic work that I called "les portraits sonores" (created in 2009 in France for AIDES 25th anniversary then relaunched in Morocco in 2022), as well as a moving revisitation of my video archives which had several names... "Looking for Pierre", "Family portraits" and which had the ambition of telling my life in video.
In 2017, I started shooting my first film, "Hunter Nights", a cineplastic triptych to be released in fall 2025, the 'story' of a burned-out visual artist who gets lost in the twists and turns of his creative and neurodivergent mind, the opportunity for me to try and tame my best ally but also main enemy: the brain I’m dealing with since I was diagnosed with epilepsy at 13 yo.
Since 2021, I live and work in Rabat, where I publish books for Éditions Le Sélénite and also vlog about the literary scene.
Since 2024, I'm achieving the project of my life: a series of books inspired by my childhood and adolescence in the 80s and 90s as well as my musical journey in the queer scene of the early 2000s. Because writing is where it all began.
A creative human next to you.
