PIERRE PASCUAL
LES PORTRAITS SONORES
In 2009 , I created "Sound Portraits" in Paris for the 25th anniversary of AIDES, the AIDS charity. Alongside Vincent Malléa's mural, I conceived the soundscape for a large exhibition featuring the personal stories of numerous individuals: artists, journalists, writers, and ordinary people. Among them were Daphné Burki, Ovidie, Ophélie Winter, Jean-Claude Dreyfus, and Michael Grégorio. These portraits were compiled on a double CD titled "Audio Instants," which you can listen to on Spotify or other streaming platforms.

For a second exhibition in Paris in 2010 , I created videos and new portraits, including a sound portrait of Lady Gaga entitled "Pop Music", made using an exclusive interview for Spank Magazine.
These portraits were exhibited for three weeks at Paris City Hall.
LES PORTRAITS SONORES 2
In 2022 I relaunched the concept of sound portraits in Morocco, giving me the opportunity to explore new artists and new languages.
These new portraits were exhibited at 3 exhibitions in Rabat in 2022 and 2023 and also at the Anwaj Podcast Festival in Casablanca.

À LA RECHERCHE DE PIERRE (LOOKING FOR PIERRE)
All my life, I've recycled images from my past to create a new present and a possible future, using my grandfather's Super-8 archives or my own VHS recordings made during my teenage years. This project, which began in 2007 with the video "Ooh yeah" (the story of Pierre Pascual), was called "In Search of Pierre" and was shared on a Tumblr blog until 2016. "In Search of Pierre" brings together this revisiting of the archives, but also all the videos I produced and directed for my music career, when I was known as Chose Chaton. Of course, it's also a project about identity and existence in this digital world, through machines and technologies, and about the impact of "images" from the past on us, on our lives.

THE MOM PROJECT

From 2009 to 2012, I worked regularly with my mother on cathartic videos and sounds, trying to heal the wounds of our past.
Together we created several sound and video portraits, such as "Impassive Face" or "Good day today".
I also created the concept of "Mom superstar" by creating the EP and remixes of Monique Perrier, "Visage impassible", in 2009 on digital platforms.

When my mother lost her mother, I stayed with her for a month, the most violent month of my life, and we created "Christmas mom," a series of 3,000 photos and videos.
The final chapter of this work will perhaps come one day.
